This was one of my most succesful adverts yet, with a fantastic response. I've had new customers and enquiries coming into my shop every week. My target market is parents/grandparents with primary school-aged children and younger. Playground Magazine goes straight into the book bags and as a mum I have always kept them to read and as a reference. I'll definitely be advertising My First Boutique in the next issue.
Just to say that a university student contacted us after picking up your magazine, to see whether she could help over the next 6 months as an intern. We met her yesterday and she's great. We've already put her to work doing some research on donors with a view to writing applications and running some social media campaigns to help encourage a wider audience to donate.
After the promotion in Playground magazine last year, I received a lot of interest that turned into 4 new members of the group the following term, which was really great. I felt that being in Playground gave the classes a presence in the minds of Tunbridge Wells parents of school age children, which as a fledgling business was much needed.
We've had a great response to the competition we ran in the autumn issue of Playground and even had some sales from it before the competition had ended!

I do believe you have the best parenting magazine of all those on offer. I love the handy format and there’s always a good variety of articles. It’s a great source of local information. I have found Playground magazine to be one of the most effective media tools in which to reach the local family market. My children regularly receive it in their school book bags and our visitor research indicates that people read it and attend events at Knole on the back of it. I also welcome the warm and sincere approach I receive from Caroline!
I had absolutely no hesitation in deciding to advertise both the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon and Sarah’s Runners in Playground magazine. The distribution and reach is perfect for our target audience and I have always loved the design and feel of the magazine. I know from personal experience that it's the sort of publication that gets picked up and read over and over again, until the next one is out! The balance of features and advertising is just right and having advertised in Playground before I know how successful it is. I've had more calls from advertisements in Playground than any other local magazine.
